Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde is ready to overlook the the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury so one can require surgery.
The 20-yr-old turned into forced off within the 23rd minute of Barcelona’s Copa del Rey semi-final last loss against Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday. He was replaced by 17- to 12-month-vintage Hector Fort because the La Liga champions exited the competition after a 4-2 defeat.
Balde underwent a scan on Thursday, which found a tendon injury in his right hamstring.
He will go through surgical treatment in Finland and isn’t predicted to feature again this season.
A Barcelona statement study: “Tests display that first team participant Alejandro Balde has an injury to the tendon in his right hamstring.
“In the coming days, he will go through a surgical operation on the arms of Dr. Lasse Lempainen, under the supervision of the club’s medical team of workers, in Turku, Finland. Once the technique has been completed, a new assertion could be released.”
Balde, who joined the Catalan club at 8 years old, signed a new settlement until September 2028.
He has featured in 28 instances in all competitions for Barcelona this season, presenting one intention and one assist.
Barcelona went back to motion on Saturday with the visit of Villarreal in La Liga.
